Okay, so most of the people who read this blog are members of my family and some of my friends. Most of these people are unaware of social media, and how to use it. So, what I am going to do, is take a website I am on and talk about it. Obviously, right now I am going to talk about Twitter.
Twitter is a social media tool that allows you to connect with family, friends, and people with similar interests. Basically you go to the website and it asks you: What are you doing?
You type in what you’re doing in 140 characters or less and then hit ‘update’ this goes out to all the people who are following you. You can receive peoples updates via your cell phone and are able to update through your phone also.
I even have my blog posts show up on my twitter feed so my friends know when I update my blog and they can check it out. I am absolutely addicted to my twitter and have found some great people to follow.
Most of my friends are fellow hockey bloggers/hockey lovers, and of course some people from around Cincinnati, social media lovers, and of course my friends in real life.
It’s a quick and easy way to keep in touch. Follow me on twitter @bethanym85
Image via WikipediaI like hockey. Yes, it’s true. My main team is the Columbus Blue Jackets, and I have a few players that I always have a soft spot for. However there is only one man that I cheer for above my team. That man is Martin Brodeur. He is the goaltender for the New Jersey Devils. I cheer for him no matter what. I saw him play last season, when he played the Tampa Bay Lightning. He pitched his 9th (I think) shutout of the season. Anyway, most of the time when I talk to him I refer to him as my beloved. Anyway, you can see all of my posts on him at my hockey blog right here.

Up until today I could have sworn I was a Republican. Today I went to the court house and got my car licensed. I also made sure I was registered to vote, and I am, but as a Democrat. While I do have certain views that are kind of Democrat, I am mainly a Republican so after the primaries, I will be changing officially to a Republican. Good times.
