Writing! I suppose this isn’t anything new to those of you who know me. In November I participated in NaNoWriMo and wrote a 50,000 word novel in a month. As of right now, I have set that novel aside and don’t want to even think about it. But, I am currently working on a novel that stems from a dream I had about a week ago. We’ll see how it goes.

Sidney Crosby….HAHA just kidding. The Pens are playing the New York Rangers in the second round of the playoffs and well I am cheering on the Pens, the less evil of the two teams…which in turn means cheering for Sidney Crosby…….first time ever.

Sleeping, I don’t seem to be able to get enough sleep lately, probably because it’s the end of the semester and I am about to lose my mind. Also, my god daughter, Kelsie, she is pretty freaking awesome. The other day I picked her up and patted her bottom and could tell her diaper was wet, so I laid her down to change her diaper, and as soon as I opened the diaper I found a surprise, and Kelsie began to laugh. I had to tell her that she was lucky I loved her because if I didn’t I wouldn’t find that funny. She just smiled. It cracked me up, Kelsie is only 9 weeks old *almost* so she already has pretty good timing.

I don’t think I need to say anything else about that…I am addicted, it is not good.
So there you have it, some of my favorite things right now. Enjoy.
Matt & Janell are expecting a baby girl on September 3!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know, I said I’d post everyday and I am doing pretty good eh? Today’s post has a lot to do with hockey and Kelsie, I guess because they’re the two biggest parts of my life.
First of all, Kelsie, she is absolutely adorable! I spent the day with her, and well had my first incident. For whatever reason, I went out of my routine, and didn’t put her clean diaper underneath, and well she tinkled. It was rough, we had to wash her off a bit, and then changed her clothes. It was fun….I guess. I think when kids do things like that, you realize how much you love em, I mean come on that is kind of nasty.
Second of all, today was a HUGE day for the Blue Jackets, for those of you non hockey fans, the former Captain Adam Foote was traded on February 26 to the Colorado Avalanche. The Blue Jackets out of respect to Adam Foote didn’t name a Captain until today. We named Rick Nash, Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Rick Nash was the First Overall Draft pick in the 2003 Entry Draft. It was the first time in franchise history that the Blue Jackets picked first overall and we had to make a trade to do so. Rick Nash has been an assistant captain for a while now. Now he has the reigns, he has the power to take us there. If you don’t know Nasher, and have never seen him play, I suggest you do it. Here is a clip of the talent this kid man has.
If you are interested in seeing the press conference it is posted on my hockey blog you can find the link here.
Oh my goodness, I spent a few hours at my friend Kelley’s house today, she’s Kelsie’s mom, and man am I exhausted. I know she’s not mine, but I wanted to help Kelley as much as I could, because Kyle went back to work today. It was so fun to help her get a bath, change her diaper, put her in her clothes, take tons of pictures, and feed and cuddle her all day. She’s an absolute cutie and I love her so much. Anyway, I have a few goals for myself that I want to try in the next week or so, so if you care…here we go…
That’s about it. I am going to head to bed. I am sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy. Night!!
Well, here she is my little cutie!! Well not mine, but you get the idea. She is such a cutie, and changes every single day! I can’t believe that I haven’t seen her since Friday!! Kelley’s husband goes back to work next week and I am hoping to spend some extra special time with Kelsie, and hopefully give Kelley a bit of a break. According to Kelley, Kelsie girl likes to sleep and slept 7 hours the other night SEVEN HOURS and she’s not even a week old. Anyway, I am sure I will post more pictures of my best friends little girl soon. But, I adore this kid!!
I’m a god mother!! My little Kelsie was born at 10:21 last night and she is absolutely gorgeous!! Kelley had to have a c-section and was a little out of it but, the baby is here and they are both doing well!! It was sooo cool to be one of the first people to hold her. She is so tiny!! She weighed 7 lbs 9 oz but was 21.5 inches long!!!!!!!!! She’s a cute little girl! Here is a picture to tide everyone over until I get some more up! It’s probably my favorite one that I took!
