Hey all! I am doing NaNoWriMo again! I’m doing some word wars with my homies, Cat and Molly.
Here’s our first one!

I got 323 words, in 10 minutes. Cat won again, she is a beast, I think my problem is my music, I will have to change it.
Cat is going to play WOW, Molly is eating fish sticks, and I am going to work on an assignment for school. I will continue this later.
Writing! I suppose this isn’t anything new to those of you who know me. In November I participated in NaNoWriMo and wrote a 50,000 word novel in a month. As of right now, I have set that novel aside and don’t want to even think about it. But, I am currently working on a novel that stems from a dream I had about a week ago. We’ll see how it goes.
Sidney Crosby….HAHA just kidding. The Pens are playing the New York Rangers in the second round of the playoffs and well I am cheering on the Pens, the less evil of the two teams…which in turn means cheering for Sidney Crosby…….first time ever.
Sleeping, I don’t seem to be able to get enough sleep lately, probably because it’s the end of the semester and I am about to lose my mind. Also, my god daughter, Kelsie, she is pretty freaking awesome. The other day I picked her up and patted her bottom and could tell her diaper was wet, so I laid her down to change her diaper, and as soon as I opened the diaper I found a surprise, and Kelsie began to laugh. I had to tell her that she was lucky I loved her because if I didn’t I wouldn’t find that funny. She just smiled. It cracked me up, Kelsie is only 9 weeks old *almost* so she already has pretty good timing.
I don’t think I need to say anything else about that…I am addicted, it is not good.

Well, I did it, I wrote a FIFTY THOUSAND word novel in 30 days. It felt great, I feel accomplished, I feel, satisfied. I still have a lot to work on with it. There are a lot of gaps and grammatical errors, and quite frankly a lot of things that just make no sense. But, I did it, I really and truly am so proud of myself. I can’t say I did it on my own because without my absolutely amazing friend Finny, who made me sit at Starbucks for 3 entire days and write my ass off I wouldn’t have finished. And, also thanks to Henry who finished about a week early due to his crazy fast fingers and for him encouraging me. Anyway, that’s all, be on the look out for my novel, My Happy Ending, to be on the top of the best sellers list in about 5 years HAHA.
I am staying at Starbucks til I hit 50k…it WILL happen…with tons of wars with Finny.

Alright so I am now up to 43110, I am determined to get up to 45K on the next word war…we’ll see though. IF I can do that, then I should have no problem breaking the 50K today.
2:00 pm That’s where I am sitting at right now. I am about, 9000 words behind. My goal is to be up to 40000 words by the time I leave Starbucks today…wish me luck. I gotta get back to it. I will try to check in every hour or so and keep you up to date on my progress.
4:00 pm Alright so I am now at 35K!! I am so proud!! I am going to keep on going…but just wanted a quick update before I dive in for another round of working working working.
6:49 pm I have met my goal and am sitting at exactly 40000 words. I am so proud of myself and am leaving Starbucks to go home and relax a bit and hopefully work on this thing a little more before I hit the bed tonight! New goal for this evening is to reach 42000 words. We’ll see but I am heading out to get some dinner.
So all my word warring buddies are unable to participate but I am going to word war with myself today to get caught up. I will be posting my beginning and ending numbers. I will only be doing it in 15 minutes intervals so yes I will keep you posted on my progress.

422 words…not too shabby…still have a lot to do in order to catch up. This really isn’t as exciting by myself. At least Starbucks is pretty busy today so I’m getting a wide variety of people around. I guess I will start another one at 4:15.

489 words!! I am slowly but surely getting there. I have to pick up my mom at the airport at 6:10. So I am hoping to get 25000 words by the time I have to pick her up. I am really going to have to buckle down and do it. My friend Morgan is leaving me now. Sad!!
**Ok, so the word warring is over and I am just going to break down and write until it’s time for me to leave. Again, wish me luck, I am going to need it.**
Alright, so I’m done with Starbucks for the day. I ended up leaving here with 23049 words. Which means I wrote a grand total of….2509 words. Not too bad considering while Morgan was here I was rather distracted and not too motivated. I am hoping to be up to 25000 by tonight. I really do need to re-read it and try to outline the rest of this. We’ll see 
Well, it’s Tuesday the day after my day of word warring and some of the most intense writing I’ve ever done. I feel really accomplished. Not just because I got caught up, but because I actually did what I said I was going to do. I’m a procrastinator. I can’t help it, that’s the way I was born. But, buckling down like that yesterday really helped, it made me not ever want to do that again…slacking that is. I’m sitting at 20540 words, I’m behind Finny but I plan on passing her today, hopefully that is. Anyway, the story is coming along nicely…I got a little stuck and bored with my story so I changed it around and now my main character has a new love interest!! Yay!! Anyway, that’s all. Have a good day! And, if I do any word wars with myself or anyone today I will update.
Ok, so Finny has got me motivated to do this novel. I am getting ready to have a word war by myself for 15 minutes. So I don’t really have a lot of time to write…but, I will keep you updated because Finny and I have a lot of word wars coming up today!!

Starting at the top of the hour with 14383 going a full half hour my goal is to get 1000 words. I hope that I can make it!!
Wow!! I managed to get 1159! I am quite impressed with myself. Needless to say, I beat the crap out of Finny. Which I am ok with! I surpassed my goal. And, I’m not allowed to leave until I reach 20000 words so, I will have to keep up with this pace.
Well I’m up to 16786 I got 1244 words on the latest word war and once again took Finny out. Granted she WAS crying…but I still won. This is getting intense and I am really hoping to reach 20000 words before 6. I have 2 and a half hours to go!!
I’m currently 3 for 0 on the word wars and am totally dominating Finny. Although, she got pretty close this last time. I now have 17873 words. In every word war I have gotten over 1000 words which is pretty good I’m catching up slowly but surely.
Ok so this word war I did with Finny and Henry…needless to say I slowed down. I only put out 801 words but like I told them…I was distracted by bad music and phone calls. Stupid phone!! It is looking like I will meet the 20000 word count by this next word war hopefully. Then maybe I can do my hockey blog which has been neglected quite a bit lately.
Ok so the last word war has come and gone I popped out 735 words which brings me to 19409 just about 600 short of my original goal for the day. We’re going to have one last word war that will take us to 15 til and hopefully I wil be able to reach my goal and then I can head home for some hockey and to rest my butt…which is really starting to ache. Henry is kicking my butt though on the last word war he even got a title for his novel. How jealous am I!?!
Alright, word war again…I’m starting with 20138 words. Let’s hope that this is a successful word war. I need to pound out at least another thousand words!! Ok so, I totally slacked and didn’t get my 1000 words but I am up to 20540 words. I’m done for the night…I’ll do this again…sometime.
So, I have been slacking in writing for NaNoWriMo because work sucks and I am absolutely exausted!!!! I will be getting back into the groove this weekend. Hope everyone is doing well and I would put up a bit of my novel but, ya know…I don’t have it at work…sorry!!
